Freeport New York

August 7, 2013

The Nautical Mile in Freeport, NY, devastated by Hurricane Sandy has made a big comeback. Last Friday we ate at the newly renovated E.B. Elliot’s. All along the Nautical Mile there are outdoor bars and many of the restaurants have live music some inside and a few play in the outdoor bars. Beside E.B. Elliot’s, there is the Nautilus Cafe, Woodcleft Crabshack, The Bamboo Bar and Grill, River House Grille, JC Cove, Jeremy’s Ale House, the oldest restaurant on the Mile, Otto’s Sea Grill, Rachel’s Waterfront Grill, Bracco’s Clam & Oyster Bar, Tropix, Wildfish and The Helm.

New to the Nautical Mile is The Tides, Wet Waterfront Dining Lounge and Hudson’s on the Mile.

Landshark is still renovating and is expect to open soon.

One of the staples of the Mile, the Schooner is still closed.
